Emotionless Jason Hoppy Rejects Plea Deal In Stalking & Harassment Case that would have required him to attend anger management after ‘threatening to destroy ex Bethenny Frankel’
Former ‘RHONY’ star Jason Hoppy insists he did nothing wrong.
Bethenny Frankel‘s ex, Jason Hoppy, refused a deal that could have ended his bitter stalking case with the Skinny Girl, and only Radar Online.com has the details of the offer he turned down.
As Radar reported, Hoppy was in court in NY today facing charges of aggravated harassment in the second degree and stalking in the first.
The DA offered the former RHONY star a deal for him to plead guilty to the harassment charge as a violation, with attendance at an anger management program and an order of protection thrown into the bundle. But Hoppy turned it down, insisting he will be vindicated.
There is currently a temporary order of protection in place while Hoppy makes his case against the charges in court.
As Radar reported, Frankel called cops in January over claims Hoppy threatened her at five-year-old daughterBryn‘s school. It was also revealed that Hoppy had previously been sent a cease and desist by Frankel over allegations that Hoppy had sent Frankel numerous emails and FaceTime calls, according to the NYPD.
On Monday, however, Hoppy looked calm and collected in court he is facing. His attorney Alex Spiro vehemently defended his client’s innocence. When contacted by Radar, Spiro would only say that the plea deal was rejected, and he would not comment further at this time.
Its been a long and turbulent road for the former reality tv couple. Frankel filed for divorce against Jason back in 2013, after three years of marriage, and the divorce proceedings last over three years after that.
The biggest issues that were on the table were their shared marital home in TriBeCa and custody of their daughter Bryn.
The temporary order of protection against Hoppy is in place until July while the two duke it out in court. The next hearing is set for April 26.
Meanwhile, it’s been revealed that Frankel is continuing filming for this season of the Real Housewives of New York, which could potentially feature her reactions to Hoppy’s first court appearances over the charges.
