via My Fox Philly:
Rapper Meek Mill was released from prison around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, according to a prison spokesperson.
Mill whose real name is Robert Williams was sentenced to three to six months in prison for probation violation in July. That same month, a judge denied his request for early parole.
The incarceration has also delayed his sophomore album, Dreams Worth More Than Money.
Mill has tangled with a probation officer and Judge Genese Brinkley over his tour-related travel and other issues.
Brinkley has ordered him to take etiquette classes and sent him to jail in July over an outburst at his parole office. She has now released him from the three-to-six month sentence.
Meek’s lawyers insist he has built a successful rap career since his drug and gun case and has not been arrested again.
The judge revoked parole just before Mill finished five years of probation. She has ordered the five-year clock to start again.
FOX 29’s Dave Schratwieser reports the rapper must do community service and treatment. He will also not be allowed to travel outside of Philadelphia..
Update: 20:55 EST – Meek Mill just posted his first picture after prison in a living room and cracking jokes about a friend’s broken foot. Good to be home. “Damn I gotta buy Deen a new foot lol I’m back tho!”
