Margaret Josephs‘ $1.125 million mansion is in foreclosure.
The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star, 50, and her husband, Joseph Benigno, were sent a foreclosure notice from Unity Bank on Dec. 15, 2017, which was entered into the Bergen County court system earlier this month, per court records obtained by Page Six on Thursday.
The couple took out two mortgages with the bank for two properties next door to each other in Englewood, N.J. between September and December 2016. The bank wants to “recover possession of both of the said premises” from them.
Josephs and Benigno hosted her birthday party at their home during the Bravo show’s season finale despite having an unfurnished living room. She revealed at the end of the episode that construction was still incomplete on her home and revealed on the reunion that she hoped to hire another contractor against her husband’s wishes.
Josephs is also in the middle of a legal battle with Vineyard Vines for trademark infringement after the company accused her of copying their designs for her Macbeth Collection. Josephs was found guilty and ordered to pay them $300,000 (instead of the $12 million they were seeking). But she’s only paid $190,000, so the company is now seeking $9.4 million in damages.
Josephs’ rep declined to comment.
