LisaRaye McCoy was born September 23, 1967, in Chicago, Illinois. She is 44 years fabulous! She started acting in 1995, but it was her starring role as Diana Armstrong a student who stripped at night using the name Diamond in The Players Club that made her a star. LisaRaye has a 21 year old daughter Kai and is sister to rapper Da Brat.
LisaRaye started out as a model and has been in various music videos such as Tupac Shakur’s “Toss It Up”, Calvin Richardson’s “True Love,” Sisqó’s “Incomplete”, Lil Jon and Ice Cube’s “Roll Call” Video clip, and Ludacris’ “Number 1 Spot.” McCoy also recorded the single “Would You?” with rapper Benzino.
LisaRaye currently stars in her own reality show LisaRaye: The Real McCoy with her daughter Kai on TV One. LisaRaye is also one of the stars of VH1′s Single Ladies.
