The Real Housewives Of New York has a new cast member.
Eboni K Williams has joined the RHONY as its first black housewife.
“NYC is filled with successful and dynamic Black women. I’m excited to join this legendary franchise as the first Black housewife. Can’t wait to share a slice of life in this city that hasn’t been seen before. Anyone who’s aware of my work knows I don’t hold back. I’m going to keep it just as real here as I do everywhere else,” Eboni, 37, said in a statement.
She’ll be joining returning housewives, Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Leah McSweeney and Sonja Morgan. Eboni currently works as the host and executive producer of Revolt Black News.
Prior to Eboni’s hiring, it was rumored that Bravo had hired Bershan Shaw. But they decided Eboni would be a better fit, although Bershan may make a few appearances.
Eboni earned her law degree at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. After receiving her Juris Doctor degree, she specialized in family law and civil litigation.
There is no premiere date as yet, but filming has begun.
