Originally Farrah Abraham defended her decision to make a sex tape titled: “Farrah Superstar: Back Door Teen Mom” but now the former “Teen Mom” star is coming forward and admitting that it was a terrible mistake. Of the sex tape, Farrah reveals:
“It made it hard to have friends and a private life and to trust family, who I feel use me for money. If I went back in time, I would not have done it. The sex tape ruined my life. Knowing my sex tape was out there for everyone in the world to see … was overwhelming. I wanted to hide my face and not go out or pick up my phone.”
Despite her family and friends’ warnings about the mixed message the sex video would send to her four-year-old daughter Sophia, Farrah decided to do it anyway. She made a reported $1.5 million dollars off of the video. But her decision to make the sex tape affected all aspects of her life including her love life. In May Farrah met and began dating DJ Brian Dawe. The couple were supposed to appear on VH1’s “Couples Therapy” but at the last minute Brian “abandoned” Farrah and wouldn’t return the producer’s phone calls. Still, Farrah credits the show for helping her realize her self worth saying:
“Therapy helped me understand I can’t continue experiencing life [the way I had been], that I’m more special than sex tapes. Hearing others tell me my worth is [all based on] my body. … I’m stronger than that.”
