Scott Weiland, Former Singer Of Stone Temple Pilots, Dead At 48, From A Heart Attack

Scott Richard Weiland who was born in 27th October, 1967 has passed away at the age of 48, from a heart attack.

Scott’s facebook page notified fans:
Scott Weiland, was best known as the lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, passed away in his sleep while on a tour stop in Bloomington, Minnesota, with his band The Wildabouts. At this time we ask that the privacy of Scott’s family be respected.

Scott was on tour with his band Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts they were supposed to play the Medina Ballroom tonight. Scott was found Thursday night on the tour bus at around 9pm.

The singer famously battled substance abuse for years.

Scott had been married three times; first to Janina Castaneda from 1994-2000, to Mary Forsberg from 2000-2007, they share two children Noah, 15, and Lucy, 13. Scott’s third wife was Jamie Wachtel they married in 2013.

Our condolences go out to Scott’s family, friends and loved ones.
