During Sunday night’s episode of TLC’s reality show, Sister Wives Mariah, the only daughter of Kody and Meri Brown, announced to her parents and their sister wives Janelle, Christine and Robyn that she was a lesbian.
In the episode, she gathered everyone and shared that she identifies as a lesbian. Everyone was left in shock.
“I did not see it coming… I thought I knew my daughter, I didn’t,” said Meri.
The Browns believe in Fundamentalist Mormonism, which is a faith that does not approve of homosexuality. In an interview in 2013, the family said that anyone should live their lives “in any way they want,” regardless of their sexuality. Read a bible much Brown family?
The Browns are not “mainstream” Mormons, as they refer to themselves as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
