The first season of MTV’s Teen Mom spin off “Teen Mom 3” did not do so well. In fact, it did so poorly that MTV has decided to pull the plug completely. Although MTV has yet to confirm the news, the Teen Mom 3 girls took to their Twitter accounts to confirm that their days on TV are over. Briana DeJesus tweeted: “It’s come to an end guys!” When a follower asked if they were filming another season, Briana confirmed no. Briana then said:
“I know we were all shocked but I’m glad I was given a chance to share my story and change others! (: that’s all that matters. Teen mom 3 was one of the best experiences I ever had! I will never forget it! Time to move on from MTV and do bigger and better things & no I don’t mean become a porn star lol.”
Briana’s cast member Katie Yeager responded: “I’m grateful for this experience. Molli and I are ready to move on from this and live a normal life. Thanks for all the love and support.” Mackenzie Douthit who is currently pregnant with baby number two, only said : “shocked.” But she later took to her Facebook fan page to ask fans if they would watch a reality show based on her life.
A possibility for the show’s low ratings could be because the girls had been vocal on their feelings with the network’s poor portrayal of their lives. It’s obvious that Alexandria Sekella is happy with the network’s decision because she said: “Yes no more teen mom 3. Guess we weren’t enough of train wrecks for it to be interesting. America wants to watch crazies oh well #relieved.” And when a fan said: “@OfficialSekella Social media ended it for you all. Why watch a show that was taped 6 plus months ago when we can see what you’re doing now,” Alex responded with: “exactly and that’s what I said to network I wasn’t surprised it ended they set it up for failure.”
Obviously this season was a lot more boring than the original Teen Mom. I think MTV should bring Maci, Farrah, Catelynn, and Amber back. What are your thoughts? Post your comments below.
