Real Housewives Of New Jersey stars, Teresa and Joe Giudice just pled guilty in their 41-count indictment conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud. Both will most likely be heading to prison. As we reported yesterday the couple were going to plead guilty as a part of a plea deal in which Teresa would face less than two years in prison and Joe at least three. Joe, an Italian citizen, also faces deportation.

The spouses were asked by U.S. District Judge Esther Salas if they admitted their guilt and Teresa and Joe both replied: “Yes, your honor”.

Teresa pled guilty to 4 counts, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bankruptcy fraud, and Joe to 5 counts, conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bankruptcy fraud, plus failure to file tax returns.

In July 2013, the Giudices were charged with conspiring to defraud lenders and illegally obtain mortgages and other loans, as well as allegedly hiding assets and income during a bankruptcy case. The 39-count indictment claimed they committed mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, made false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud. It also charged Joe, 43, with failure to file tax returns from 2004 to 2008, during which time the father of four allegedly earned nearly $1 million.

Four months later, the couple were indicted on two additional counts of bank and loan application fraud. In February 2014, they petitioned a judge to be tried separately.

In total, the Giudices were accused of obtaining more than $5 million in bank loans due to fraudulent and falsified paperwork. Joe, who was born in Italy and is not a U.S. citizen, might be deported.

Among their alleged crimes — prosecutors claim the couple used fake pay stubs, tax returns and W-2 forms to inflate their incomes and obtain nearly $5 million in mortgages and other loans. They also allegedly hid money they got from “Real Housewives” and other business ventures after filing for bankruptcy in 2009.

The Montville, NJ reality stars are parents to Gia, 13, Gabriella, 9, Milania, 8, and Audriana, 4. Joe faces a potential sentence of 37 to 46 months in jail and Teresa could get 21 to 27 months. They are scheduled to be sentenced on July 8. What are your thoughts? Post your comments below.
