A woman and child have died after being pulled from a swimming pool at former Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford‘s home this weekend, per TMZ.

Apparently Carl was hosting a small party of 6 people. The boy wandered off by himself and fell into the swimming pool. The woman went in after him, but neither were able to exit the pool safely. Carl tried reviving them the best he could on the spot, but was unsuccessful.

Paramedics arrived and tried life-saving measures themselves, both the young woman and the boy have died.

The woman and boy were both unresponsive when taken by ambulance, per KHOU which also captured some on-the-scene footage that appears to show Crawford talking to police officers.

Rumors are everyone at the party was getting lit, there were strippers and more than likely at least 15 people at the home.

Carl played for the Dodgers from 2013-2016, before being designated for assignment with approximately $35 million remaining on his contract.

After retiring from baseball, the outfielder has been the CEO of independent Houston record label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, which originally signed hip hop artist Megan Thee Stallion. Megan would later sue the record label to get out of her contract.

This is a breaking story and will be updated with details as they become available.
