Luann de Lesseps must show up in person next month at a Florida courthouse to plead guilty to charges for her drunken Christmas Eve attack on a police officer — because a judge is refusing to let her resolve the case from rehab, according to court documents obtained by Page Six.
Palm Beach County Judge Glenn Kelley set an Aug. 29 date for the “Real Housewife of New York” — who’s currently on her second stint in rehab — to return to court.
On Wednesday, Kelley shot down an attempt by her lawyer Douglas Duncan for her to take a plea in absentia at a one-minute hearing.
De Lesseps has brokered a plea deal with prosecutors in which she’ll plead guilty to battery, trespassing and disorderly intoxication charges.
The embattled reality star, 53, was busted in December at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach with an unidentified man in a room that wasn’t theirs. Hotel security called police — and an admittedly boozed-up de Lesseps unleashed on cops, threatening them, “Don’t touch me! I will kill you.”
The drunken tirade was caught on tape.
The mom of two was charged with disorderly intoxication, battery of an officer, resisting arrest and making threats against a public servant. Under the plea deal, she won’t face felony charges — meaning she will likely dodge jail time.
De Lesseps checked into rehab shortly after her December arrest and returned for a second time this month — just ahead of her court date Wednesday.
